We're ROLLING-almost!

Emma Grace is getting really close to rolling over. We just started putting her on her stomach. She pushes up with her arms and tries to look around. She also rolls on her side but hasn't made the complete flip just yet! She only likes to be on her stomach for a few minutes-then she is done and starts crying! We put her in the nursery for the first time with weekend-she did GREAT! slept then played. When I came to get her they said she did well and had her bottle and a diaper change. Then later in the day I noticed the diaper she was wearing was not hers and that the bottle I fixed for her was still FULL-not sure whose milk she drank but she doesn't seem any worse for it! hehe. oh well-guess that's just life in the nursery!

our apartment

here are some pics of our apartment complex. We live on the first and second floor of the building in this picture. you can see our grill on the second floor balcony. These pics with us and Emma Grace were taken right outside our apartment-there is a little pond in the courtyard. our living room and bedroom windows face the courtyard.

no pics of parents

someone asked for a pic of us with emma grace. we actually don't have any! hehe. but here is a pic of me with her and then one of andy with her!

emma grace is three months

here is a picture of Emma Grace in her three months shirt! we are taking pictures every month! We are all doing well. I am working on getting a cabinet built for my stove-it's not in the counter like most american kitchens and some shelving for in there too. The counter tops are low, made for chinese women-not this tall american! But oh well, I am so thankful to have a kitchen that is bigger than a closet, so I am happy as a lark. made homemade pumpkin pie yesterday. we are having the most amazing fall weather and I just had to get in the fall spirit with a pumpkin pie-paw paw you would be proud. I made the crust from scratch and even bought fresh pumpkin! Our friends matt and laura are back with their two little girls so it's been lively aroudn these parts. 3 little girls under 2 makes for some crazy times-there is always one child crying! hehe. well, we love you guys and miss you!

Slingbox, Bean and Abby

Good news - my (Andy's) Slingbox is finally up and running! Not only that, but it's running about 3 times as fast as it ever has! I was able to watch a little bit of the Patriots-Chargers game. This is what I've been looking forward to ever since I got this thing. :o) Thanks Mom, Dad, and PJ for ironing out all the wrinkles.

And, since I know what you really want to see, here's a picture of Emma Grace and her friend Abby. Abby's parents Roger and Melody are some of our close friends here.

GO WVU!

Even though we are far away, Andy is a true WVU fan! Last week, on the day of the WVU game he came downstairs sporting all his WVU gear! This week he got up to listen to the game online! Over the years, he has stayed up many a night to watch/listen to the games! Here are some pictures of our newest WVU fan! GO MOUNTAINEERS!!!

Emma Grace in Asia

The people in our community just love Emma Grace! They call her a "living baby doll." We get stopped multiple times a day for people to look at her and ask lots of questions about her! She's a "built in friend magnet." Here's a picture of her in her stroller, which we now refer to as the red tank...no one really has strollers here, especially not one this big! I take her to the market and all over town in this thing!

Welcome to our blog!

This is the first of hopefully many updates to our weblog. It is an easy way for us to post recent pictures and video of us, particularly the one who we all know is the star of the show (Emma Grace). You can even post comments on the things we've written.
