Celebrating Jack

Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
you formed me in my mother's womb.
I thank you, High God—you're breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I'd even lived one day.

Your thoughts—how rare, how beautiful!
God, I'll never comprehend them!
I couldn't even begin to count them—
any more than I could count the sand of the sea.
Oh, let me rise in the morning and live always with you!

1. just bought those same candles for Julianna's cake at a random chinese bakery. orlando is closer than i think :)

2. the difference between the pics in your post and the little toddler jack on his trike on your sidebar is stunning - slow down time!!

3. remembering the days waiting to hear news of his birth, the hilarious stories from your Christmas 2008 (well, hilarious now, not so funny then) and the eager anticipation to have you and Jack and the rest of the fam back in KC that spring!!!

love you and happy day to Jack (it's almost the 12th here!)

What a comforting reminder of God's great love for us and plan for our lives. I am so thankful for Jack and his tender heart. I am anxious to watch the plan unfold. Happy birthday, Jack.
